Signing is a wonderful way to develop communication, language and understanding with children of all ages.
Our signing classes are suitable for children of all ages. Beginners Courses and a range of Advanced Courses are available. Classes are small, fun and friendly. Sessions are themed and useful signs (BSL) are taught through songs, rhymes, activities, stories and puppetry.

Why use sign language with babies/toddlers? From as early as 6 months a baby has sufficient motor skills in order to sign. From between 7-10 months old he/she will want to start communicating with you which is not possible until his/her speech mechanism has developed to such a stage. With a few signs during this period a lot of frustrations can be minimised as you have given your baby/toddler a tool to communicate his/her wants, needs and feelings to you. Signing is a truly wonderful way to communicate with your baby/toddler. Children love to sign and it’s also a great general life skill to have that is fun to learn.
